Our Calling
God gave us this passage while we were in Belize asking Him to show us His will for our lives and ministry. It is our prayer and our calling for our ministry in Belize.
Ephesian 4: 1-6
“To live a life worthy of the calling you (we) have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you (we) were called to one hope when you (we) were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
Our Belief
We believe that there is one living, true, holy God, eternally existent in the Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus was miraculously conceived, born of a virgin, and sinless in life. Christ was fully man and fully God. Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, was resurrected, and thereby offers salvation to all who will receive Him in faith. He is seated at the right hand of the Father and intercedes in our behalf. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, “God-breathed” Word of God and that its teaching is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. We believe that true Christianity is about believing that Christ died on the cross as payment for our own sins and rose again. Our sin debt is paid and we can have fellowship with God. We can have victory over our sin nature and walk in fellowship and obedience with God. We believe in the Holy Spirit and the gifts that the Holy Spirit gives to edify the church, and that they are as relevant today as they were in the Old Testament.
We base our beliefs on the Holy Bible:
- “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16)
- “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
- Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:5-7)
Our Vision
For years the majority of our food has been raised on our farm. Our ultimate goal would be to make the feeding program at Omega Church larger and self-sufficient by implementing programs in horticulture, animal husbandry and hydroponics. At the same time we hope to help the community, especially single moms struggling to feed their family. We believe that by helping these families gain the knowledge, and help they need to care for their family; we can reduce the number of orphans in Belize. We will work with My Hand in Hand, building homes for families in dire need of shelter. Through the provision of Filter of Hope, we will be able to bring clean water filters to families who get most of the water from the rivers. “Give a Goat”, a program that will bring food, milk, soap to a family and then they pass on a goat to another. One child, one family, one life at a time. May our vision always be Holy Spirit lead and always growing in Christ.
