08/09/10 Christmas boxes - we will be providing Christmas boxes again this year for orphans in Ukraine, please drop us a note for complete information, list of box items, and how your group can become involved. Deadline for shipping is October 15th for December delivery in Ukraine. 08/09/10 Personal care bags. Since the fire destroyed much of our surplus, we gave away all of the remainder of the personal care bag supplies, we are in need of the following items: (Please note, we have 400 WONDERFUL washcloths left) - toothbrushes, chap stick, combs/brushes, black socks, 2 oz. shampoo/condition/lotion, gallon size ziplocks (any brand); funds for toothpaste and soap, we can purchase these items very inexpensively IN Ukraine and save on shipping costs - 50 tubes of 6.oz.toothpaste for $20.00, and 50 large bars of soap for $9.00 08/09/10 - Support funds - The Fillmons are prayerfully considering moving to Ukraine to oversee the Community Center Project and to secure Foster Parents for the homes. FIRE! Dear Friends and Supporters,
We just got word that one of our houses in Ukraine experienced a fire, and the storage unit (which contains thousands of dollars in aide) was completely destroyed. We are VERY thankful that alot of the aide was distributed in April, during my recent trip, but there was some that did not get distributed, and some that was to be distributed during the summer. We have several pressing needs:
1. Funds to rebuild this structure - $2,500
2. Backpacks for 150 kids that were to be given to our kids at the summer camp, these were already filled with school supplies
3. costumes for camp - please contact us directly

04-19-10 - We have 2 'seasoned' volunteers that have a strong desire to be a part of our team this summer, and impact the lives of orphans. 4/7/08 - Teen clothing and sport shoes, please drop a note for specifics THANK YOU RAA MIDDLE SCHOOL !!!! 11/08 PRAISE REPORT: Praise report: A few weeks ago, a supporter of HK2 had it in their heart to donate exactly $200 to us, once they received their tax return. Actually, the person was also praying to receive this return, fearing a possible audit. When that fear subsided, they noticed on the website the need for diabetic supplies, which was personally significant to them because of either a family history or a family propensity for that disease. His Kids Too! specifically needed $200.00 to fill a need. The donor states: "It couldn’t have been a more clear sign from God and I happily obliged!" The story still continues…last week, the donor received a letter from the IRS... thinking, “Oh no, an audit…” The first paragraph stated that they were amending their federal tax return, which in and of itself sounds pretty ominous. However, it was to inform the donor that they were eligible for a credit that they did not take, and therefore, the IRS was going to send me a check for $400! The IRS corrected a mistake the donor made in their favor, and sent the donor money?? The donor states: "That’s proof for any atheist that there is indeed a God!"
Not only did God answer his prayer for 'no audit', but returned to him 2-fold what he donated to help the gentleman with diabetes. What an encouragement and act of faith...thank you JE for your step of faith!
